Hi! I’m Sarah - I love animals and I love helping out.
I’m a self-employed copywriter based in Cockermouth, Cumbria. I set my own hours, which means I can use my time to help pet owners who work away from home. I have a fluffy family member of my own, my cat, Vinnie. He’s my pride and joy and I would do anything to keep him healthy and happy. Just like you would for your pets.
Many moons ago I worked as a vet’s assistant, which kickstarted my passion for pets. I’ve had guinea pigs, fish, dogs and cats over the years, and in the last couple of years I’ve branched out into caring for other people’s pets.
My flexibility as a freelancer is a gift if you want a reliable pet sitter. I can pop in while you’re at work, or stay in your home while you’re on holiday. You know that your pet will be cared for to the highest standards in the comfort of their own home, without the stress of travelling to a strange environment.
I’ve had the pleasure of looking after pets of all shapes and sizes. I’m somewhat of a cat whisperer (shout out to my not-so-shy girl ‘B’ in the Cotswolds!), and I’m great with nervous rescues. My approach is calm and gentle, giving each and every pet the time and space to get to know and trust me.

“How do I book?”
It couldn’t be easier! Pop me an email, text/call, or fill in the enquiry form below. I promise I’ll get back to you within 24 hours to start your journey to peace, pawfect peace. The more advanced notice I have from you, the easier it will be to pop your pet into my schedule.
“How long are your pet pop-ins?”
My pet pop-ins are generally 30-minutes in duration. This gives me plenty of time to make your pet feel comfortable around me, to feed/water them, administer any medications, clean up, and have some fun! However, flexibility is key, so please get in touch to discuss your needs. For example, a pop-in that includes a short walk will take a little bit longer, and thus cost more.
“Will you walk my dog with other dogs?”
No, I don’t operate a traditional dog walking service (and there are some highly respected operators in the area!). If you request a dog walk, I will walk your dog as part of your pet pop-in booking, on its own and not as part of a larger group.
“Are you insured and vetted?”
Absolutely! I have an up to date DBS criminal record check, I’m insured, and references/reviews are available upon request. Your peace of mind is my priority.
“Do you live close by?”
I live in Cockermouth and operate my business in and around the town. That way I can focus on providing the best possible service to pet owners that live within a 10-minute drive from my home. It also means that should an emergency arise, I can get to you quickly.
“What happens if I have to cancel?”
